Couer D'Alene River, Idaho 2011

Our flight into Spokane went very well thanks to good friends who loaned us their iPad and grandma who loaned us a portable DVD player (we were covered) and

and thanks to the Flyebaby(the little hammock contraption you see Kate sleeping in here). Once again we rented it and the Cares harness from Sweet Pea Rentals, a great place for everything you need to travel with kids. http://www.sweetpeababyrentals.com/Home_Page.html

After a short drive, barring Coeur D'Alene's traffic, we arrive at the river. Kate and Leo were greeted with open arms by Jaslyn and Josie, and of course Papa and Grandma.

Jordan was excited to show us around, but not as excited as Grandma.

Kate checked out her new digs.

Leo said roasting marshmallows was his favorite part. Definitely seemed more popular than going down the river, he liked that as long as it wasn't bumpy and he didn't get wet...
There was chair just for Kate.
Jordan was our beer fairy. The river was pretty cold and though Kate didn't seem to mind, we filled this little pool up so she could enjoy a little more time in the water before Mama decided her legs were going to freeze off.

Auntie Coley and Uncle Tom in a chair just for them :-).

The Flyebaby in action again, this time, in the highchair function.

If favorite activity is determine by the amount time spent engaged in said activity, playing on the beach with Jas and Josie would be Leo's favorite.

Even Mama got to relax after some ground rules were established, and she had a beer.

More playing in the sand with Jaslyn.

The aforementioned cold river water, it didn't seem to bother Kate one bit.

And the trip was over much too quickly, one more snack with Jaslyn and Josie.

And then we are off to wait for our plane.
