Kate's arch enemy!

Last night I put Kate to bed in the new usual way, now that she's sleeping in her own bed, and gave her her new "lovie", recommended by all the sleep experts to help her sooth herself in my absence. Well, at first Kate and her lovie began a heated "discussion" about whether to go to sleep. Some debate was civil, but voices did get raised to new high-pitched levels occasionally. I must say Kate was the most vocal of the two. Soon the debate devolved into out and out combat as Kate repeatedly attempted to bite off her lovie's head with her two little teeth. This went on for at least 30 minutes. Eventually we decided that the two needed to be separated, mama went in and took Kate's arch enemy away. Within two minutes Kate was asleep.
