It's been a little while

Momentous times call for doing things differently. I haven't posted in years but Kate just started Kindergarten which means we are entering a new era. And I want to document it!

Kate is killing it in Kinder! She is in room 2 with Mrs. Ervin who we all adore!

Kate says she wants to be a policeperson when she grows up.

Leo is in room 10 with Mrs. Probst, brand new to Coleman and so far she seems great. Leo wants to be something in sports when he grows up.

Milestones

4/15/14 Kate said to me, "Mama, I want to wear big girl undies from now on." You got it baby girl!
3/21/14 Yeah, another loose tooth, this will be the third. And it's finally those tiny top ones that are starting to look funny in his mouth.
8/12/13 Leo has a loose tooth and the adult one is already growing in behind it!
6/12/13 Last night Leo told me I was the best cook of any chef at any restaurant anywhere! Sigh.
6/11/13 Leo graduated from preschool, and still says he wants to be a scientist when he grows up, that or a Mexican wrestler.
5/6/13 Leo wants to be a scientist when he grows up.
5/5/13 Each night when we sit down to dinner Kate says to Leo, "So, Yoyo, how was your day?" Sometime even when we've all spent the whole day together...
3/11/13 Kate asked for some milk and Mark asked her what the magic word was, she said "Meeska mooska Mickey Mouse!"
1/30/13 Lately Kate is fond of saying,"Run for your lives!", often for no apparent reason.
1/10/13 Kate says, "Baby, pacifier, happy; other baby sad."
11/11/12 No more whole milk for Kate; no more whole milk for Mama's coffee :-(
10/24/12 KK can pretty much say anything she wants now.
10/18/12 Kate says, "two, two, two" then jumps on you!
10/12/12 Leo told his teacher, "Kisses don't spread germs, they spread love."
8/29/12 Leo has moved up to the big butterfly room and has not been sleeping during naptime, he says, napping is boring.
8/29/12 Watching Kate try to jump with both feet is also very adorable!
8/27/12 Kate has decided that walking backwards is fun. I never thought watching someone walk backwards would be so adorable!
6/18/12 I told Leo he smelled like his Daddy and he told me I smelled like a hotdog...
5/31/12 Kate has learned to say no and sounds just like a southern belle when she's says it...except when she's yelling it at the top of her lungs.
5/1/12 I'm having a hard time disciplining Kate as she has me laughing most of the time.
3/14/12 Leo's a big 4 year old today AND Kate decided that she's a walker now!
3/6/12 Kate is doing some really good walking these days.
2/16/12 I asked Kate if she was ready for her nap, she made the sign for nap, then crawled up into Leo's bed and started to pull the covers over her.
1/27/12 Last night Kate stood up from my lap, bent over to pick up a ball then took 4-5 steps towards her Daddy. Her stuffed teddy bear may have stood up and walked as shocked as we were.
1/26/12 Baby girl can take one or two steps before falling into our laps and this morning she called "Aeo" to her brother!
12/29/11 Leo says for his birthday he wants to have Christmas again.
12/22/11 Kate can stand on her own for a full 5 seconds, especially if she's kinda mad.
11/27/11 Kate can say duck, if you listen very closely.
11/14/11 Kate loves to practice her clapping technique, even at 5am.
11/12/11 Our baby girl is one!
11/9/11 Daddy worked late last night, and Kate sat by the bathroom door this morning while he showered.
11/7/11 Kate is getting two more first year molars for her birthday!
11/3/11 Kate has gotten shaking her head no, down pat.
10/23/11 Kate's 9th tooth has finally erupted, I bet the other three first year molars are not far behind.
10/22/11 Kate looked toward the kitchen where Daddy was and said, "Dada."
10/14/11 Oh she also gives very good kisses if you like the open mouth drooly kind.
10/14/11 Kate is doing a lot of praticing of her mamas and dadas, and sometimes will repeat me when I growl like a tiger.
10/2/11 Daddy told Kate no tonight, and she started to cry.
9/22/11 Kate's old school crawling on her hands and knees now.
9/1/11 It's been a fun day teaching Kate how to give zerberts.
8/30/11 After months of working with Kate on her sign language she started using it first with her Dad the other night!
8/24/11 It took Kate a couple of nights to realize she liked having her own room.
7/21/11 Kate may be the smartest baby on Earth!
7/19/11 Yes! all of Kate's teeth have broken through, now we can finally get some full nights sleep...until the next ones start to surface.
7/18/11 Kate has really mastered the army crawl.
7/12/11 Kate is celebrating her 8 month birthday with three more teeth!
7/5/11 Kate's third tooth finally broke through. Top right only. Hope the matching one on the left comes in soon...
6/29/11 Last weekend, Uncle Chris said he saw Grandma Sharon in Kate. mmm
6/28/11 Leo is really hitting his stride as a 3 year old. Nuff said.
6/22/11 Wednesdays are Leo at home days, Kate likes Leo at home days; life is very good.
6/22/11 Wednesdays are Mama days, Leo likes Mama days; life is good.
6/21/11 Looks like Kate is getting several more teeth, maybe even 4, Ouch!
6/14/11 Kate slept from 7:30pm to 4:30am before making a peep, then just a quick complaint and back to sleep til 6:15!
6/3/11 Kate really likes to practice getting up on her hands and knees, mostly in the middle of the night.
5/15/11 As of 7:30pm Kate can roll over any old time she wants, no problem.
5/1/11 And Kate also loves sweet potatoes which is a good thing in this family.
4/25/11 Kate likes avocados, she's definitely her Daddy's girl.
4/22/11 Kate held up her arms up to her Daddy to pick her up.
4/16/11 Kate rolled over from her belly to her back; Leo calls it her magic trick.
4/15/11 Kate had some bananas this morning, she says, "Meh."
4/12/11 Correction, make that two teeth!
4/11/11 Kate is getting her first tooth, bottom right front!
3/16/2011 I had to give Leo's new Ironman action figure a kiss goodbye this morning. Oh and Ironman wanted waffles for breakfast.
3/15/2011 Kate has a very cute little giggle.
3/14/2011 Happy 3rd Birthday Bug!
3/2/11 Kate weighs 12lbs 3ozs which puts her in the 28th percentile for weight, up from 0, yeah!
2/28/11 Leo loved his first swim lesson.
2/20/11 Kate took a bottle from Daddy AND reached out and grabbed her rattle from me. What a big girl!
2/15/11 Kate may be the happiest baby on Earth.
1/28/11 Kate is not loving the bottle.
1/19/11 Leo says the ocean is a big puddle that goes in and out, in and out...
1/16/11 Kate rolled over from her back to her belly this morning. I think she surprised herself as much as anyone.
1/5/11 Maybe our food scale was a little off because the doc's scale says Kate weighs a whoping 9lbs!
12/28/10 Kate weighs about 8lbs now! If my math is right that is exactly 1 ounce per day weight gain!
12/15/10 Leo got a "booboo" on his head and wanted baby Kate to kiss it.
12/9/10 According to our food scale, Kate weighs 6lbs 14ozs!
12/7/10 Kate cried real little tears today.
11/29/10 Kate weighs 5lbs 12ozs! 10 ounces over her birth weight at 17 days old!
11/24/10 Kate weighs 5lbs 4ozs, she's over her birth weight in less than 2 weeks!
11/22/10 Leo wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.
11/12/10 8:50pm Our family is complete with the arrival of Kate!
10/25/10 When Leo "helps" me in the kitchen he has to put a towel over his shoulder, just like Mama.
10/24/10 In the last week Leo has enjoyed a Rueben sandwich and a mushroom and onion pizza. He is still my good eater!
8/17/10 Leo calls his baby sister Cake.
8/16/10 Today is Leo's first day at his new daycare, so far it sounds like he's doing just fine.
7/28/10 Leo is doing great in his big boy toddler bed.
7/16/10 Leo has taken to holding his index finger up to me and saying, "One minute Mama."
6/23/10 Leo likes us to sit on the big potty when he sits on his little potty to go pee pee. Yesterday he told me, "Push your pee pee down Mama."
6/16/10 Leo's diaper was bone dry this morning and he took a big long pee pee in the potty when he got up, what a big boy!
6/6/10 Spent the weekend by the pool in Hughson and no sunburn!
4/7/10 First poop in the potty, and a very proud little boy.
4/1/10 I finally did spy Leo's last two baby teeth coming in, the 2 bottom 2 year molars.
3/22/10 Leo's first ER visit. He's doing just fine now.
3/15/10 Leo started in the 2's room today. He ran right in and starting playing like he belongs there!
3/4/10 Leo is getting his two upper 2 year molars. Boy, are they big!
1/14/10 By the time I got Leo out of bed this morning, he was completely naked! Yep, had taken off his sleeper and diaper.
1/7/10 Last night Leo climbed up into his crib all on his own, said night, night and laid down to go to sleep.
12/7/09 Leo's introduction to snow was met with much trepidation.
11/30/09 Last night Leo walked through the kitchen and pushed closed a drawer that was left open on his way.
11/19/09 Leo likes to "cheers" our cup with his sippy cup. We have to be on guard to avoid sloshing drinks.
11/16/09 And another set of ear infections-poor little guy.
10/11/09 Leo loves brussle sprouts!
9/16/09 I can't keep track of the words Leo is learning on a daily basis.
9/5/09 Leo said apple, very clearly.
8/12/09 Leo points his finger in the air and waves it saying no,no,no...fun times are on their way.
7/26/09 Mama trimmed Leo's hair...oops. Next time I'll pay the $18.50.
7/19/09 Who knew teeth #13 & 14 would be the most painful!
7/12/09 And bird is his third. Definitely got something from his Nana.
7/5/09 Is "quack" a word? If so, it's Leo's second.
6/21/09 For Father's Day Daddy got a tried and true toddler...tantrums and all.
5/31/09 Leo spent his first night away from mama and daddy. Sounds like he was a little sad but in general did ok.
5/27/09 Leo can now reach the top drawers in the kitchen and bathroom...uh oh more babyproofing supplies are needed.
5/19/09 Leo has a total of 11 teeth presently.
5/6/09 Finally, finally more teeth coming in on the bottom, Leo's has the same two on the bottom since October!
5/2/09 Leo has his first ear infection and in both ears, poor little guy.
4/28/09 I bet if Leo wore a little pedometer he'd log several miles a day, just making laps around the condo.
3/28/09 Leo's getting both upper first molars, all at once poor little guy.
3/23/09 A whole weekend with no bottle! And Leo's enjoying cow's milk.
3/17/09 OK, seriously Leo is walking now. Even though sometimes he forgets he knows how.
3/10/09 Its been confirmed by daycare that Leo is a good hugger.
2/19/09 11 months 5 days and we have a walker...well almost!
2/11/09 School pictures were today, Leo was less than thrilled, keep your fingers crossed.
1/27/09 Oh my gosh, the clapping attempts are hilariously adorable.
1/20/09 Leo can occasionally stand on his own for about 2-3 seconds!
1/14/09 Leo has mastered waving and everyone at the grocery store is a lucky recipient.
1/12/09 Leo has SIX teeth now, there's a lot of drooling going on these days.
12/31/08 The fourth tooth has erupted though not the one we expected. Now Leo's got four, two on top two on the bottom all in the middle.
12/29/08 Leo took his first flight. He did awesome. Maybe he'll be a pilot.
12/22/08 And a fourth tooth is showing, the left incisor...should make for an interesting smile.
12/21/08 Leo's third tooth is barely peeking through.
12/15/08 Leo moved to the Toddler room at daycare today, what a big boy!
12/7/08 Leo gave his cousin Kaiya a kiss today.
11/21/08 Today I said Peek a Boo to Leo when he couldn't see me, and he still laughed.
11/5/08 I'm nervous to even say it but I think Leo's tearduct has unplugged, yeah!
10/30/08 Leo is pulling himself up to standing...and he's obsessed it.
10/26/08 Leo went for his first Hike-he loved it!
10/21/08 Leo's got two teeth!
10/20/08 Leo's crawling!
10/14/08 Leo's got a tooth! Yeah!
10/13/08 Leo started teething...Ouch!
10/5/08 Leo completed the Bridge to Bridge 7K walk, to benefit SONC.
10/1/08 Leo's first attempt at downward dog aka jungle boy walk
9/28/08 Leo weathered his first tried and true cold.
9/21/08 Leo had sweet potatoes today and LOVED them!
9/8/08 Today Leo laughed out loud for no apparent reason.
